Stamped Israel 925 on the rim.The cup is made in typical Bezalel style, combining elements of Art Nouveau and Yemenite silversmithing in the twisted and worked silver wire and bead medallions and stem and base decoration. 5 1/4in (13 1/2cm) tall and weighs 64g. Has the word Dorothe inscribed on the rim. Is a Hebrew word that literally means sanctification and is a blessing recited over grape juice or wine to sanctify the Jewish and Shabbat holidays. Many families have a special goblet or glass for the blessing called the Kiddush cup.
